The new student housing complex “Smiley” was festively opened on the Zeeburgereiland in Amsterdam in mid-September 2016. The 364 student residences are the first that DUWO realizes as an investor together with the student housing provider IC Netherlands. The Smiley was designed by Studioninedots and owes its name to the curved location (over 134 meters) in the bend of the IJburglaan. The houses in the six-storey building are between 18 and 29 m2 in size.
